Suspect caughtin Monroe break-in

A suspect was apprehended after a burglary was discovered at a Monroe County residence.

State police at Lehighton said the home of Kevin Cellini, 4376 E. Sherwood Drive, Robin Hood Lakes, Polk Township, was entered. A neighbor checked the home about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The intruder fled the home out a rear door into nearby wooded area. Nothing was apparently taken from the home, troopers said.Later troopers on patrol found Timothy J. Schmid, 24, of Kunkletown, in the development and took him into custody. He admitted committing several other crimes, troopers said, including entering the Cellini residence where he stayed overnight and left when discovered by a neighbor. Schmid was committed to the county prison in Snydersville.Charges are pending.
