Two drivers involved in one-vehicle crashes along Schuylkill County roads have been cited.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Tanya L. Zerbe, 36, of Pine Grove, was driving a 1993 Honda Accord eastbound at 1:47 p.m. on Friday, along Sweet Arrow Lake Road in North Manheim Township, when she lost control of the car on a wet road service.The car went onto the berm and struck a utility pole head-on.Zerbe and a 8-year-old male passenger were injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment. The car had to be towed from the scene.Troopers cited Zerbe for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.The second crash occurred about 7:20 a.m. on Sunday, along the Port Carbon-Saint Clair road in East Norwegian Township.Troopers said Kaitlynn A. Mervine, 18, of Pottsville, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt southbound when she lost control and went onto the berm where the car struck a wooden fence. After impact the car continued southbound off the road through a grassy area, spun counter-clockwise, and struck a tree where it came to rest.Mervine was not injured but the car had to be towed from the scene. She was cited in the incident.
