Tamaqua Area High School senior Joshua Gordon has been selected as a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, which recognizes students for leadership, scholarship and community commitment.

Membership in NSHSS entitled Gordon to a variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions and more.Formed in 2002, the NSHSS membership qualifies students for scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, publications and participation in programs offered by educational partners. The NSHSS has 950,000 members in 160 countries.
