Making one of 30,000 meals

Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville was a hive of activity on Saturday, as many volunteers gathered to make 30,000 nutritious meals for Kids Against Hunger, to help reduce hunger locally through area food pantries and for children at the Village of Hope School in Haiti. Each packet of dry soy, rice, vegetables and powdered chicken stock can feed 12 children or six adults. It was sponsored by Monroe County Pennsylvania Chapter of Thrivent Financial.
