A Carbon County teen has been placed in a juvenile detention center after a threat incident on Sunday about 8:30 p.m.

State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred at 352 Parker Trail in Penn Forest Township. Troopers said a 13-year-old male threatened a 40-year-old female with a 10-inch kitchen knife. The female was not injured.The teen was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and related counts. He was placed in the detention facility pending a juvenile court proceeding in Carbon County court.
