A Monroe County woman has been charged with simple assault as the result of an incident that was reported on May 29 at 5:36 p.m.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to Hoffman's Texaco service station parking lot in Pocono Summit for a report of a fight.On scene officers were told by a woman that her ex-girlfriend, identified as Shana Napier, 25, of Tobyhanna, had refused to return her car key and cell phone. Witnesses reported that Napier grabbed the victim before fleeing on Route 940.During the investigation police learned that Napier punched her ex-girlfriend in the eye causing it to swell and bruise.Napier was arrested and arraigned before a district judge on the assault count. She was released on $2,500 unsecured bail.
