Lansford police searching for two robbery suspects

Lansford police are searching for two Coaldale men they believe robbed resident George Becker on Thursday.

The men are Christopher Keer, 24, of 23 W. Ruddle St. and Joseph Becker of 208 E. High St. According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by officer Brian Horos, George Becker came into the police station and said he had been robbed.George Becker said he was standing outside of a building he owns at 200 W. Bertsch St. in the borough when he saw Christopher Keer across the street. He crossed the street and asked Keer where the Hess trucks he had stolen from him where.At that point, Joseph Becker caught George Becker in a bear-hug hold from behind, making it hard for the victim to breathe.The relationship between George Becker and Joseph Becker was not clear as of late Thursday.Keer then took George Becker’s wallet from his back pocket.George Becker showed Horos his ripped pocket, which hung by a thread from the back of his pants.Becker told Horos he had $1,475 in his wallet. It included $650 in rent money he had just collected from one apartment and $375 from another. He also had $450 from work he had done.Joseph Becker on Feb. 27 entered a home at 313 W. Water St. in Lansford, allegedly looking for a man named “Cody.”In that incident, Becker was accompanied by Brian Kehl of Summit Hill. The two held a 16-year-old until the boy’s grandfather, who lives next door, brandished a handgun at them. Becker had blue hair at the time but has since dyed his hair orange and has a mohawk haircut.
