An area driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 2, along East Texas Road, in Lower Macungie Township.

State police at Fogelsville said Lester C. Matthias, 85, of Kunkletown, driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, attempted to make a left turn onto E. Texas Road while exiting the parking lot of the U.S. Post Office, and failed to yield to a 2004 Subaru Outback driven by Margaret T. Reznicek, 69, of Macungie, and a collision occurred.No one was injured. The Cobalt had to be towed from the scene while the Outback sustained minor damages.Troopers cited Matthias for causing the crash.
