State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a theft and criminal mischief incidents.

The theft occurred at First Rate Motors, at 1249 Route 209, in Brodheadsville.Troopers said two batteries were removed from two vehicles parked at the business. The value of the batteries was set at $140. The theft occurred sometime between Thursday and Friday.The mischief incident was reported by Zbiguiew M. Denys, of Delmar, New York.He reported the rear passenger side window on his vehicle was broken while parked at 190 Chippewa Trail in Albrightsville, Carbon County. The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
