Domestic incident leads to fugitive

A domestic incident has led to the arrest of a man wanted in Virginia on felony counts.

State police at Frackville said troopers responded to an apartment building at 18 Water St., New Philadelphia, about 1 a.m. on Tuesday for a reported domestic disturbance between a man and woman.On scene, troopers were told the man involved had fled the scene on foot. He was later located at Route 209 and Clay Street in the borough and positively identified as Donald Arthur Foote Jr., 29.Foote was arrested. During a check, it was learned that Foote was wanted by police in Virginia Beach for felony counts of grand larceny, statutory burglary and failure to appear.Foote was arraigned before on-call District Judge David Plachko of Port Carbon and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail pending extradition back to Virginia.
