DUI arrests reported

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence arrests.

On Friday, May 9, at 11:21 p.m. troopers stopped Paul C. Lewis, 45, of Slatington, along Hamilton South at the intersection with Old Route 115, in Ross Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle violation. He was found to be under the influence and was arrested.On Saturday, May 17, at 10:04 p.m. troopers stopped Preston Lawren Robinson, 18, of Blakeslee, along Polk Township Road, just west of HTY Road in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest.On Friday, May 23, at 1:56 p.m. Emily Sarah Moore, 21, of Jim Thorpe, was stopped in the area of routes 209 and 248, at the McCall Bridge, in Franklin Township, for a vehicle code violation. She was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She was placed under arrest with charges to be filed.On Saturday, May 24, at 7:52 p.m. troopers stopped Justin Lee Gombert, 29, of Lehighton, in the area of Bridge Street near Allen Street in Weissport, for a vehicle code violation.He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was placed under arrest.Also on Saturday, at 10:40 p.m. Robert L. Matlock, 28, of Long Pond, was stopped along Route 209 at the Towamensing Elementary School in Towamensing Township during a checkpoint operation.He was found to be under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance.On Sunday, May 25, at 1:37 a.m. troopers stopped Matthew Anthony Defrain, 21, of Lehighton, in the area of Bridge Street near Allen Street, for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest.
