Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church will again host a GriefShare program designed to assist those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. The course is Biblically based, but non-denominational.Meetings will begin on June 10 and will then be held Tuesdays, at 10 a.m., for the next 13 weeks. Meetings will be held in the church conference room, at 223 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesday hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.For more information on any chamber activity, call 570-668-1880.Soup socialMonthly soup socials are being held at Trinity United Church of Christ, 22 Lafayette St. The next outreach social will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on June 7. The free event is part of Trinity's monthly "Feeding the Hungry" program.Those attending are reminded to use the lower parking lot entrance into Founder's Hall.SS. Peter and PaulSS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church will observe Ascension Thursday, a holy day of obligation on May 29. Masses will be said at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 8 a.m. on Thursday.Graduation Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. on June 1. Graduates are reminded to meet in the social hall before Mass. Coffee and doughnuts will be served after Mass.June 1 is also rosary Sunday. Members of the parish Holy Rosary Society will recite the rosary before Mass and receive Holy Communion as a group.Adult day care centerThe Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care Center, 300 W.
