A Schuylkill County man is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident at the Schuylkill Mall in New Castle Township.

State police at Frackville said Scott Allen Parsons, 24, of 523A Fairview St., Pottsville, entered the Kmart store at 5:20 p.m. on May 21 and placed a bottle of aftershave, a bottle of cologne, and a costume jewelry necklace in his pockets.Store security confronted Parsons as he was exiting the store without paying for the items. Parsons placed the aftershave and cologne down then ran out of the store. He was identified by a friend and store surveillance.Charges were filed.
