State police at Lehighton reported the results of driving under the influence checkpoint operations and roving patrols over the past holiday weekend.

Between Saturday, May 24, and Monday, May 26, troopers arrested seven motorists for DUI of alcohol or a controlled substance.Also, nine motorists were detained but released after passing field sobriety tests. There were 75 citations issued with one motorist being arrested for possession of marijuana.
