Large quantity of drugs found

A large quantity of drugs were found following a traffic stop in Monroe County. State police at Fern Ridge said the stop was made at 1:19 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, along Interstate 80 westbound in Tunkhannock Township.

Troopers said Damonte Kareem Capron, 21, of Paterson, N.J., was stopped for a lane and window tint violations. At the stop troopers observed indicators of criminal activity.A consent search of the vehicle was granted and found in the trunk of the car was 30 bricks of heroin (1,490 bags), along with 45 grams of the drug "Molly," a small amount of marijuana and packaging material.Capron was arrested and charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession, and one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $100,000 bail.
