A student at the Lehigh Learning and Achievement Center, located at 2936 Corporate Court, Lowhill Township, Lehigh County, has been cited for assault.

State police at Fogelsville said a 10-year-old male attempted to flee from the center at 12:45 p.m. on May 6 and struck Christopher J. Craig, 27, of Slatington, a staff member, in the face.After he was restrained and escorted back into the school he kicked staff member Ryan Phillips, 31, of Emerald, in the face.The suspect was then taken by ambulance to Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, for further medical evaluation.On May 23 troopers filed two counts each of aggravated and simple assault against the suspect with the county juvenile probation office.
