Six Carbon County men were among the personnel participating in "Project Mercury" recovery operations in which 32 Navy ships and units were stationed in the Atlantic range area for the recovery of the "Aurora 7" space craft from the Atlantic waters on May 24 following the three-orbit flight of Navy Lt. Cmdr. Malcolm Scott Carpenter.
