Copper piping taken in break-ins

Copper piping was removed in three burglaries investigated by state police at Fern Ridge.

A summer home located along Flail Drive, in Jackson Township, Monroe County, was entered sometime between Sept. 25, 2013, when the owner, Willie James Walker, 69, of Copiague, New York, winterized the home and May 14 when he returned to it. Forced entry was made through the front door. The ceiling insulation in the basement was removed and the copper piping taken along with electrical wiring. Also taken was a Nintendo Wii game from an upstairs bedroom.The home of Patricia Treadwell, located along Pawnee Trail in the Mount Pocahonas development, Albrightsville, was entered and removed from the craw space was copper pipes. The entry occurred sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. on May 23.A second home along Pawnee Trail, owned by Tracey Trenery, of Albrightsville, was entered through the crawl space and copper pipes taken. The entry occurred sometime between May 22 at 8:30 p.m. and May 23 at 1 p.m.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
