Anti-bullying program set

The Dark Knight Batman and Catwoman are scheduled to participate in an anti-bullying program 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Angela Theatre in Coaldale.

Jennifer Fox, coordinator of the event, said admission is free, although there will be containers for donations to help defray costs.The main emphasis of the program is how children "can be their own hero" by educating them on bullying, said Kamryn Clifford, a Panther Valley Middle School student who will speak briefly at the event.Clifford said the program is open to all ages, and anyone can attend.Dark Knight Batman and Catwoman will be available for photos and autographs to children who attend the program, Fox said.Also appearing will be Ann Marie Calabrese of radio station WMGH and a representative of S&O Computers.Tommy's Restaurant is also participating.Clifford said the local student group formed against bullying has its own Facebook page, "You Don't Fight Alone."She said members of the group will also be participating in the Summit Hill Memorial Day Parade on Monday. She invited area residents to join her group in the parade.
