A Schuylkill County man is facing an assault count.

State police at Frackville said a 27-year-old female from Brandon Street in East Union Township, came to the barracks about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, with her 4-year-old daughter to report an assault.The woman said her boyfriend, identified as Michael Basiloto, 26, of Zion Grove, had disciplined the daughter. As a result bruising was observed on the daughter's neck. The mother and Basiloto argued about the incident during which he pushed the female, who was not injured.Basiloto turned himself in to troopers and was arraigned before District Judge Christina Hale, of Frackville, on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
