State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary of a Schuylkill County residence in which an unknown amount of jewelry was taken.

The break-in occurred at the home of Geraldine Savitsky, 65, of 2425 Walter St. in Mahanoy Plane, Gilberton. It is unknown how entry was made, troopers said.The incident occurred sometime between May 19 and 21. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
