A Carbon County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 12:02 p.m. on Monday along Lehigh Gorge Drive in Foster Township, Luzerne County.

State police at Hazleton said Christian M. Ormiston, 21, of Weatherly, was driving a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria northbound at an apparent high rate of speed when the vehicle left the road and struck an embankment along the berm. The vehicle then rolled over coming to rest on its roof.Ormiston was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hazleton hospital for treatment of injuries, troopers said. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.Ormiston was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
