A Slatington driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash at 6:26 p.m. on May 5 along Route 100, at the intersection with Alburits Road, in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Jonathan J. Dawe, 20, of Center Valley, was southbound in a 2005 Toyota Corolla while Scott J. Gaffney, 53, of Slatington, was stopped in a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado at a red light.Troopers said Dawe failed to stop and struck the rear of Gaffney's vehicle with the front of his pickup truck. Both drivers sustained minor injuries but did not require immediate medical attention. The Corolla had to be towed from the scene.Troopers cited Dawe for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
