A couple from Connecticut suffered only minor injuries when a vehicle in which they were occupants crashed and overturned at 2:38 p.m. May 16 on Interstate 81 in New Castle Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said the driver, Patricia A. Solomon, 67, and passenger, Paul A. Solomon, 74, both of Gaylordsville, were transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center South, Pottsville, by the Frackville EMS.Police said she was driving a 2005 Volvo V50 southbound when she lost control of the vehicle and it traveled southwest onto the median. Police said the driver's side of the vehicle made contact with a rock embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn and come to a final rest in the median facing south.The driver will be cited for the incident.
