A Tamaqua woman was arrested on May 9 following a fight with her mother.

Alyssa Bensinger, 25, who uses multiple Tamaqua addresses, reportedly went to the Catawissa Street home of her mother at 7 p.m. to pick up some personal items. Bensinger's two young children were at the home under their grandmother's care.Bensinger, who is only allowed supervised visitation rights, attempted to take the 3-year-old boy with her. When her mother stopped the attempt, she was slapped, punched and bitten by her daughter.Bensinger was arraigned before duty District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, on charges of simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. The judge set bail at $5,000.
