A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident that occurred on Wednesday.

State police at Fern Ridge said Catherine Ortiz, of Effort, allegedly removed $24.46 worth of merchandise from Kinsley's ShopRite in Chestnuthill Township about 4:45 p.m. without paying for it.
