Opera house cited for noise issues

JTAMS Inc., 14 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, was cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board on April 4, for using or permitting to be used on the inside of their license premises, a loudspeaker or similar device where the sound of music or other entertainment or advertising could be heard beyond its property line, in violation of the state liquor code.

JTAMS operates the Jim Thorpe Opera House.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.
