Pocono Mountain Regional Police reported a car crashed into the Dollar General Store, 1249 Route 611, Mount Pocono, in an incident at 8:30 p.m. May 7.

Police said they were called to the store and found a 1999 Ford Mustang had crashed through the front door of the store and then fled the scene northbound on Route 115. Police said the driver, a 16-year-old boy, returned to the scene and told police he had panicked and fled the accident scene. He is facing charges as a result of the crash.Police said no one was injured in the incident. The store front sustained extensive damages that required it to be closed.
