Elizabeth Berger and Christopher Nanovic exchange vows

Elizabeth Berger, daughter of attorney John and Carolyn Berger of New Lenox, Illinois, was united in marriage to Christopher Nanovic, son of the Honorable Roger and Cindy Nanovic of Jim Thorpe, on Nov. 16, 2013, at Old St. Patrick's Church in Chicago. The Rev. Paul Novak officiated the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose Antonia Toomey of Turlock, California, as her matron of honor.Bridesmaids were Kimberly Nanovic of Jim Thorpe, sister of the bridegroom; Emily Halter and Callie Pogge of Chicago; and Amy Wopperer of Elmsford, New York.The bridegroom chose his brother, R. Nicholas Nanovic of Allentown to serve as best man. Groomsmen were John Berger of Chicago, brother of the bride; Rob Bekesy of Emmaus; Brian Diss of Omaha, Nebraska; and O'Neil Pert of Chicago.The couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at Fulton's on the River in Chicago. They then honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii, over the Christmas holiday.The bride is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics in 2009. She also earned her master of arts in educational administration from Concordia University in 2012.She is currently employed as a mathematics teacher outside the Chicago area.The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 2007. He also earned a master of science degree in construction engineering and management from Purdue University in 2008.He is employed as a construction engineer in Chicago.The newlyweds currently live in Chicago.
