Break-in, thefts are investigated

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and several theft incidents.

The break-in occurred at a residence at 102 Indian Trail in Penn Forest Township. Entry was gained through an unlocked door and copper piping was removed.The incident was reported at 5:53 p.m. on Friday. The home is owned by PNC Bank, of Miamisburg, Ohio.Jerome M. Yanchick, 52, of 3626 Ashley Court in Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported his unlocked vehicles were entered and removed were two Garmin GPS units, money and an iPod.The theft was discovered at 5:10 a.m. Sunday. A medium build man wearing a dark colored hoodie was seen running toward Serfass Road.Five metal property stakes were removed from property in the 90s block of Ridgeview Drive, in Lower Towamensing Township.The theft occurred sometime between 1 and 4 p.m. on Friday.Troopers said two older red three-speed, handbrake, bicycles were stolen from the rear patio in the 200 block of Main Street in Parryville sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 610-377-4270.
