A vehicle caught fire while traveling along a Carbon County roadway.

State police at Lehighton said Deborah M. Zaengle, 55, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2013 Kia Sorento northbound on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township at 1:46 p.m. on May 1, when a fire erupted in the engine compartment. Zaengle was not injured but the vehicle sustained disabling damages and had to be towed.Responding for the fire were volunteers from the Penn Forest Township Fire Company and fire police.
