Troopers investigate crashes

State police reported on two crashes that occurred recently.

A four-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Route 209 and Ridgeview Drive in Monroe County. Troopers said Robert Evola, 61, of Lehighton, Michael Wraga, 18, of Kunkletown, Fred Harvey, 69, of Holgate, N.J., and Tara Gerstenberg, 37, of Summit Hill, were all northbound on 209, and stopped at the intersection with Ridgeview.Evola did not slow down and struck the rear of Wraga's Toyota Camry with the front of his Chevrolet Malibu. The impact pushed the Camry into the rear of Harvey's Toyota Sienna that went into the rear of Gerstenberg's Jeep Liberty.Evola and Wraga sustained minor injuries while Harvey and Gerstenberg were not injured, troopers said.A crash occurred about 4:25 p.m. on May 3 at Route 903 and Church Road in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Jamie Wydro, 34, of New Hope, was northbound on 903 when Sinuhe Montero, 24, of New York, N.Y., pulled out from Church Road, attempting a left turn onto 903. Wydro's 2004 Ford F150 struck Montero's 1999 Toyota Sienna.Montero was not injured. Two passengers with Montero sustained minor injuries while Wydro and passenger, Shannon Barr, 37, of Jim Thorpe, were not injured.Troopers indicated Montero caused the crash.
