A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident at 7:53 p.m. on Monday.

State police at Lehighton said Jeremy Ryan Smith, 37, of Lehighton, was stopped along Union Hill Road at State Road in Franklin Township, for a vehicle code violation.He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest.
