St. George's Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, at 730 Church St, Palmerton, will have a service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 10.Historical societyThe Monday, May 12 meeting of the Palmerton Area Historical Society will feature Scott Everett, trail manager of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.He will present a PowerPoint program on "Past, Present, and Future" of the 165-mile D&L Trail, which goes through the Lehigh Gap area.There will be ample time for questions and answers.The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Knights Gallery of the Palmerton Area Library. The public is welcome.Heritage center changesThe Heritage Center, 410 Delaware Ave., will be displaying photos of the Palmerton area, courtesy of the Palmerton Camera Club, not previously seen by the public.They will be "matched" with enlarged color photos of U.S. stamps of the same era.The center is open various hours, Wednesday through Saturday, each week.Call 610-824-6954 for a schedule of times each day.Admission is free.
