State police at Fern Ridge are investigating two burglaries at two Carbon County locations. Both entries occurred in the Towamensing Trails development in Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township.

The first incident occurred at the property of Betty Smith, 60, of 120 Hunt Trail, where a lock was damaged on a detached shed located at the rear of the home. The shed was entered and about $500 worth of tools were removed. The incident occurred sometime between April 27 and May 3.The second entry occurred at the Dan Kretcamer, 56, residence at 157 Nosirrah Trail. The crawl space to the home was entered to gain access to the basement. Removed were copper pipes. Entry occurred sometime between Dec. 13, 2013, and May 3.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
