One driver was injured and the second is facing charges following a crash at 12:27 p.m. on May 1 along Route 901 in Foster Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Douglas Moyer, 71, of Hazleton, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet CK1500 truck westbound and attempted to make a left turn to enter the Interstate 81 southbound on-ramp when he pulled directly into the path of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix operated by Harry T. Parfitt, 39, of Mount Carmel.Upon impact the Chevrolet spun 180 degrees clockwise and came to rest along the on-ramp while the Pontiac came to rest at the on-ramp entrance. Both vehicles had to be towed.Parfitt was injured and taken by ambulance to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Moyer was not injured.Troopers cited Moyer for vehicle turning left.
