A hit-and-run driver is being sought who was involved in a accident along Route 895 in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County, at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Glenn R. Laninger, 26, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2005 Ford Explorer eastbound while another vehicle was driven westbound. As the two vehicles passed, the other vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and struck the side mirror on the Explorer with its mirror. The impact ripped both mirrors from the vehicles and shattered the driver's side front window of the Explorer. The other driver failed to stop and continued westbound, troopers said.Laninger sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. His passengers, Jessie L. Laninger, 27, and two minor children, were not injured.The hit-and-run vehicle was black and believed to be an older model (late 1980s or early 1990s), Chevrolet SUV, possibly a Tahoe.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
