A Monroe County man is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 9:51 p.m. on Monday along Route 196 in Mount Pocono.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers received a complaint of an erratic driver traveling northbound on 196. Police caught up with the vehicle in question and observed it traveling in the southbound lane.A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as John Hugh Trainor, 54, of Tobyhanna. Trainor was found to be under the influence and was unable to perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and taken to the county DUI center for a blood test.Police said Trainor will be charged with DUI, and driving on the right side of the road.
