The annual Loyalty Day Program, co-sponsored by Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 and Ladies Auxiliary, will be held at 6 o'clock this evening in the social hall at the Post Home on E. Center Street.

Loyalty Day has been set aside for all Americans to publicly proclaim and display their continued loyalty to our country and flag.It was established in the 1950s through continued efforts of the VFW. The local organization has been conducting their program for about 25 years.Awards will be presented to a regular, auxiliary, social, business and one special award this year.Also, Megan Heckman will receive her awards for her winning entry in the Voice of Democracy contest at Panther Valley High School. Megan also received second place at the District 20 level.Following the program, light refreshments will be served.
