State police at Fern Ridge are investigating two burglaries that occurred in Penn Forest Township, in Carbon County.

A home at 49 Algonkin Road was entered sometime between March 21 and April 16. Removed from the home was a Vizio flat-screen television, kitchen garbage can, Sylvania CFL light bulbs (3 pack), chef's knife, kitchen dining cups, miscellaneous freezer food and food in kitchen cabinets, Johnny Walker black scotch, and Stoli vodka.The home is owned by a 70-year-old male from Whiting, N.J., troopers said.A home along Horace Way was entered sometime between April 13 and Saturday, April 26. Removed from the home was a Craftsman snowblower, leaf blower, a Troybilt weed whacker with attachments, and a five-gallon gas can.
