April 26, 2002 The Tamaqua boys take first in three events at the Breslin Relays while the Panther Valley girls also capture a first place. The Raiders' Brian Cipko, Nick Birosik, Jeremy Kunkel and Mark Drum remain unbeaten in the 3200 relay, winning by seven seconds with a time of 8:20.32. Tamaqua's team of Kevin Lempfert, Josh Smellowsky, Cipko and Drum also breaks the tape in the medley relay (200-200-400-800). The Raiders make it three wins thanks to a dive across the finish line by Todd Breiner in the shuttle hurdles. The foursome includes Jeff Schock, Seth Culbert and Neal Flexer. PV's gold comes from Diana Bruch and Nicole Rascavage in the javelin.
