State police at Lehighton reported on a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 3:10 p.m. on April 5 along Interchange Road (Route 209), in Polk Township, Monroe County, which involved a state police cruiser.

Troopers said a 2005 Ford Mustang operated by Timothy P. Hrinko, 58, of Lehighton, struck the rear of a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria state police cruiser operated by trooper Justin Magluilo, 25, of Lehighton, as the trooper was attempting to conduct a traffic stop.Hrinko, his passenger, Debra A. Chordas, 56, of Lehighton, and Magluilo were all not injured. Hrinko was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
