State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 1 and 5 p.m. April 15 at a residence in Penn Forest Township.

The victim is Elizabeth Bianchi, 65, of 63 Blue Shad Lane.Police said someone forced their way into the home through the front door and proceeded to remove about $1,500 worth of jewelry from the victim's bedroom.
