State police at Lehighton are investigating a traffic violation at Birches III Estates in Chestnuthill Township.

Trooper Richard Holota attempted to conduct a traffic stop for vehicle code violations at 1:25 a.m. April 11. The vehicle, described as an older model black Volkswagen or Honda sedan, failed to stop, continuing to speed and commit several traffic violations through the development.A pursuit was begun, but was terminated because of safety reasons. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 610-377-4270.
