The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1140 Pohopoco Drive, Lehighton, will host an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The theme of the open house is: "Strengthening Home and Family."

There will be a brief tour of the church and visitors can become better acquainted with its members and the organization. Visitors will be able to view displays, ask questions and enjoy light refreshments.Tom Thunell and his wife, Heather, are serving as missionaries for the church and are presently assigned to work at the Lehighton branch.The local congregation includes members from Lehighton, Jim Thorpe, Palmerton, Slatington, Walnutport and Albrightsville.For more information call 610-767-2230.
