State police at Lehighton are investigating an attempted burglary at a Monroe County home.

Troopers said the incident occurred at the property of Ginny Lee Frost, 57, of 184 Bernies Road in Kunkletown, Eldred Township. Unknown criminals tried to force their way into the home through the front garage door. They tried to pry the garage door from the top in hopes of opening it but failed.The incident occurred sometime between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. on April 17.
