Schuylkill woman jailed in stabbing

A Schuylkill County woman was jailed on Sunday charged with stabbing a county man numerous times Saturday night after a domestic dispute.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred along East Colliery Avenue, in Porter Township. Troopers did not identify the victim, stating only that he was a 37-year-old man from Tower City.According to troopers Lacey Sitlinger, 30, of the 1500 block of East Colliery Avenue, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and one count each of simple assault, reckless endangering another person, harassment, criminal mischief, careless driving, and trespass by motor vehicle.The incident occurred about 7:24 p.m. as Sitlinger and the victim were in a van parked outside of 1528 Colliery Avenue. Sitlinger allegedly assaulted the victim several times by cutting him about the face and neck with a knife.The victim was able to get out of the vehicle. He was later flown to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, troopers said.Sitlinger fled the scene in the van driving down a grassy lawn and through a fence onto East Grand Avenue.Police located Sitlinger on Sunday and she was arraigned before on-call District Judge James Reily of Pottsville and committed to the county prison after failing to post 10 percent of $75,000 bail.
