Bombers, Panthers, Indians pick up baseball victories

Palmerton, Panther Valley and Lehighton all picked up baseball wins over the weekend, while the Pleasant Valley tennis team continued to rake in wins in the Mountain Valley Conference.

BASEBALLCatasauqua-PalmertonPalmerton scored in the bottom of the sixth and held off Catasauqua in the top of the seventh for another baseball win, 1-0.Zach Buck had a nice day on the mound, as he pitched a complete game shutout for the Blue Bombers, giving up only two hits, while striking out four. Five different Lady Panthers got sole hits in their first win of the season, with Dana Greenall and Hannah Hill both batting in runs, and Jessica Bauder scoring three times.Later, in game two, Shenandoah took advanage of six Panther errors to pull out the two-run win. Bauder finished with three hits, a RBI and a run scored, while Hill was 2-for-2 with three runs.
