April 18, 1985 Mike Semmel wins four events as Lehighton sweeps a Colonial League track meet against Palmerton. Semmel captures all three jumps (high, long, and triple) and the pole vault as the Indians earn an 81-69 victory. Darryl Ahner contributes two firsts (110 and 300 hurdles) while Kevin Mooney (shot put) and Jeff Hager (javelin) each add one. In the girls meet, Doreen Green claimed three events (100, 200, javelin) to lead the Lehighton girls to an 82-59 win. Other firsts come from Renae Frey (400), Heather Novatnack (discus) and Donna Oswald (high jump).
