A driver fled the scene of a rear-end crash that occurred at 2:44 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Route 209 and Weir Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Tricia R. Dougherty, 44, of Nazareth, was stopped in her 2012 Hyundai Sonata northbound on 209 for a red light.The driver behind her moved forward and struck the rear of her car. After impact the other driver asked her to pull into the State Farm Insurance parking lot to check damages.Dougherty pulled into the lot but the other driver fled south on Weir Lake Road. Dougherty and her three passengers were not injured.The police report indicates the hit-and-run vehicle was a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck
